Come Away with Me Album is by Norah Jones, the American singer, songwriter, pianist and actress.
The first full-length album of Norah’s was released on the 26th of February 2002 to critical acclaim. Although the album’s composition is acoustic pop, there are infusions of blues, jazz and folk, with jazz musicians supporting many of the tracks.
Many have noted the calmness of Norah’s delivery and the overall mellow feel to the album.
Come Away with Me received two Grammy Awards, Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. On Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Best Albums of the Decade, they ranked the album 54th.
In 2005, the Recording Industry Association of America ( RIAA ) certified the album Diamond for shipments of over 10 million units in the United States. As of October 2016, Come Away with Me has sales of over 27 million copies worldwide.
The title track, ” Come Away with Me “, was released on the 30th of December 2002. The single didn’t make it onto the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. However it did reach number twenty-one on the Adult Top 40 Chart there.
In Canada, the song reached number two and in the United Kingdom, ” Come Away with Me “, reached a peak of number eighty on the UK Singles Chart.
The Come Away with Me album was a commercial success for Norah. In the United States, it debuted at number 139 on the Billboard 200 and climbed to top the chart, nearly twelve months after it was released.
It also topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Netherlands, France, Ireland, New Zealand and Sweden.
Elsewhere the album reached the Top Ten in Austria, Finland, Germany, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

Norah Jones is an American singer, songwriter, pianist and actress. She was born Geetali Norah Shankar on the 30th of March 1979 in Bedford–Stuyvesant, a neighbourhood in the borough of Brooklyn, New York, United States.
As a child, Norah started singing in her local church and took piano and voice lessons.
In 2001 she released First Sessions, an Extended Play. Limited to 10,000 or so copies, it was only available on her website and live performances. Nine songs were recorded with six chosen for the EP, the rest left off to be considered for inclusion on Norah’s debut album, Come Away with Me.
To date, Norah’s Album releases are six studio, one Compilation and three Video. She has also released two Ep’s and twenty-three singles.
As a multi-award-winning recording artist, Norah has won five Billboard Music, two Billboard Japan Music, one Brit, nine Grammys, one Italian Music and six Japan Gold Disc Awards. Norah Jones has sold 19 million albums in the United States and over 50 million worldwide.
