Confident Album is by Demi Lovato, the American singer, songwriter and actress.
Her fifth album was released on the 16th October 2015 and features appearances by artists like American rapper Sirah and Australian rapper Iggy Azalea.
The album features a mixture of musical styles from dance-pop to gospel, with Demi co-writing most of the songs.
Confident received mostly positive reviews from critics. Some praised how the singer had matured as an artist with others calling the album a ” dynamic pop production. ”
The album has been certified 2× Platinum in Brazil and Platinum in Canada.
In the United States and Mexico, Confident has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America ( RIAA ) and Asociación Mexicana de Productores de Fonogramas y Videogramas ( AMPROFON ) ( Mexican Association of Producers of Phonograms and Videograms, A.C.) for sales of 235,000 and 30,000 respectively.
At the 2017 Grammy Awards, Demi Lovato was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album Award, losing out to Adele.
The lead single, ” Cool For The Summer ” was released on 1st of July 2015. The track is a fusion of pop and pop rock with a synthesised beat that runs throughout.
Demi described it as ” basically your go-to party anthem song. It’s definitely more grown-up than my other singles I’ve released. It’s sexy, it’s fun.”
The single had good chart success. In the United States, it reached a peak of number eleven on the Billboard Hot 100.
Outside of the US, it reached the Top Ten in New Zealand, United Kingdom, Scotland, Czech Republic, Mexico and Lebanon. In Ireland, Australia and Spain, it makes it into the Top Twenty.
The Confident album also had chart success. In the United States, it made its debut at number two on the Billboard 200 with sales of 98,000 units in the first week, 77,000 of those were physical album sales.
In the United Kingdom, the album entered and peaked on the UK Albums Chart at number six, her highest chart position in the country to date.
The Album was also a success in Canada; there it topped the Billboard Canadian Albums Chart.
It reached the Top Ten in Argentina, Australia, Belgium ( Flanders ), Netherlands, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Scotland and Spain.

Demetria Devonne Lovato was born on the 20th of August 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Demi made her acting debut in Seasons seven to eight of children’s TV series Barney & Friends, playing the role of Angela.
