Dangerous Woman Album is by Ariana Grande, the American singer and actress.
Her third studio album was released on the 20th of May 2016 under the Republic Records label.
The album, which features guest artists like Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Macy Gray and Future, is mainly focused on pop and R&B. However, although the focus is mostly on those two types of music, the songs do have other musical influences including house, trap and reggae.
Ariana Grande started recording the tracks in 2015, at the time the title for the album was Moonlight, which was later changed. A concert tour with the same name started on the 3rd February 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The tour ended that year on the 21st of September in Hong Kong.
The Dangerous Woman album gained positive reviews in the music press, with praise for the range and Ariana’s performance. Along with good reports in the media, she also received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.
In the United States, Austria, Denmark and Poland the album has been certified Platinum, 3x Platinum in Mexico and 2x Platinum in Brazil. Elsewhere it has been awarded Gold in the UK, France, Italy, Japan and Sweden.
As of 2018, worldwide sales for the album are over 2,000,000 copies.
The lead single and title track, Dangerous Woman, was released on the 11th of March 2016. The mid-tempo song is a fusion of pop and R&B.
Upon release, the single gained excellent reviews from music critics. A success commercially, it debuted at ten on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, finally settling at number eight.
In the United Kingdom, it entered the UK Singles Chart on the 24th of March 2016 and peaked at number seventeen. It spent three weeks in the Top Twenty and twenty-three weeks on the chart there.
Elsewhere the single peaked inside the Top Twenty in Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Lebanon, New Zealand, Portugal, Slovakia, South Korea and Spain.
The Dangerous Woman album became a chart success for Ariana Grande. In the United States, it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, kept from topping the chart by Drake’s fourth studio album, Views.
Ariana Grande did top the albums charts in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, Spain, Norway, Mexico, Taiwan and South Korea.

Ariana Grande-Butera was born on the 26th of June 1993 in Boca Raton, Florida, United States.
