Written while on the road, the tracks were laid down using a TASCAM Portastudio, four-track recorder which uses a standard audio cassette tape. The main recording and mixing were then done in a professional studio.
The album was later recorded at Bearsville Studios, which has since closed. The studio, located near the hamlet of Bearsville, in the state of New York, United States, played host to the likes of the Rolling Stones, REM, Blues Traveler and the Dave Matthews Band.
Overdubbing was recorded at Kajem Studios, Gladwyne in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. In addition to the work on Cinderella’s album, the studios have been used by many artists of different musical styles including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Patti LaBelle, Lou Rawls, Rose Royce, Warlock and Metal Church.
