No Limits Album 2 Unlimited Electronic Music

No Limits Album is by 2 Unlimited, the Dutch Eurodance group.
Their second album was released on the 10th of May 1993 to negative reviews from UK music critics. Writing a review for the former UK pop magazine, Smash Hits, which ceased in 2006, Mark Frith called No Limits an ” across the board techno splurge “.
Ray Slijngaard and Anita Doth had limited writing input for their earlier releases, for this album they were more involved in the process. Anita has songwriting credits on half of the fourteen of the actual tracks featured, while Ray has ten credits.
The British record label for 2 Unlimited, PWL ( Now operates the label EBUL ), became displeased with the rapping of Ray Slijngaard, so for the United Kingdom version of the album, his rapping was edited out and replaced with instrumentals.
No Limits has been certified Platinum in both the Netherlands and Switzerland.
The lead single, ” No Limit “, was released in 1993. For the UK release of the single, the rapping was removed, leaving only Anita’s vocals.
However, Ray can be heard saying the word ” Techno “, which was looped by the producers to giving the most memorable part of the song, the now familiar ” Techno! Techno! Techno! Techno! ”
Today, some twenty years after the song first hit the clubs; it is still one of the best known Eurodance tracks. The song was a big hit with DJs and became a favourite in clubs across Europe.
” No Limit ” became a massive success, topping the charts in Austria, Belgium ( Flanders ), Finland, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, where it spent five weeks at the top of the UK Singles chart.
In The United States, the single had success on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play and Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales charts, reaching twenty-one and twenty-five respectively.
The No Limits album reached Number One in the United Kingdom, Netherlands and Ireland. In Norway, it peaked at number two and number three in Switzerland, Austria and Sweden.
