Relentless Album is by Jason Aldean, the American country music singer.
His second studio album was released on the 29th of May 2007 under the record label Broken Bow, the independent record publisher based in Nashville, Tennessee.
The album was produced by Michael Knox, the award-winning American record producer and manager.
Along with Jason Aldean, Michael Knox has worked with many country music artists including Thomas Rhett, Josh Thompson, Trace Adkins, Kelly Clarkson and Michael Tyler.
The producer, from Macon-Bibb County in the state of Georgia, United States, is the son of Buddy Knox, the legendary Rock N’ Roll singer-songwriter who is best known for the 1957 hit single ” Party Doll “.
Michael Knox has been nominated five times for a Grammy and is a multiple Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music and Billboard Music Awards winner.
The Relentless album received mostly positive reviews upon release. Rick Anderson, writing for AllMusic awarded Jason Aldean just short of their top rating of five stars. He noted that ” the guitars are heavy and aggressive. ” He particularly liked the tracks ‘ Johnny Cash ‘ and ” Grown Woman “, the latter being a duet with Miranda Lambert.
In his review for Countrystandardtime, Michael Sudhalter was generally positive commenting that Jason Aldean was ” able to show off his versatility with the track ‘ I Break Everything I Touch ‘. ”
In a less than favourable review for Entertainment Weekly, Chis Willman said of the album ” Once the introductory rambunctiousness is past, there isn’t much gusto on Relentless ” adding that it’s ” just indifferently interpreted B-list material from Music Row’s top tunesmiths. ”
The Relentless album sold around 98,000 copies in the first week of release and has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America ( RIAA ).
The lead single, ” Johnny Cash “, was released on the 5th of February 2007. The song, co-written by John Rich, Vicky McGehee and Rodney Clawson, was initially recorded by American country artist Tracy Byrd. Although it featured on his 2005 Greatest Hits album, it was not released as a single.
The single peaked at number sixty-eight on the 11th of August 2007 and spent sixteen weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.
It peaked inside the Top Ten on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart at number six. The Recording Industry Association of America ( RIAA ) has certified the single Gold with sales of 500,000 copies.
The Relentless album became a commercial success for Jason Aldean. In the United States, it peaked at number four on the 16th of June 2007 and spent fifty-three weeks on the Billboard 200.
The album topped the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart for one week and spent seventy-eight weeks on there, it also reached Number One on the Independent Albums Chart.



About Jason Aldean

Jason Aldine Williams was born on the 28th of February 1977 in Macon, Georgia. From his mid-teens, he’d had ambitions to perform on stage.
He began on his path to a music career by performing at local fairs, he also competed in area talent contests. The singer changed the spelling of his middle name, Aldine, to a more memorable Aldean, to stand out.
At the age of twenty-one, Jason Aldean signed with the music publishing company, Warner-Chappell, which is a division of the Warner Music Group. He then moved to Nashville in 1998, after being offered a recording contract.
The signing fell through, and he went on to sign with another label, which also fell through in 2000. Struggling to make a career, he gives himself six months before leaving Nashville and returning home to Georgia.
A few weeks after making that decision, he was offered a recording deal by Broken Bow Records.
His self-titled debut studio album, released on the 26th of July 2005, reached number six on the Billboard Top Country Albums, thirty-seven on the Billboard 200 and topped the Top Independent Albums Chart.
It has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America ( RIAA ).
To date, Jason Aldean’s Album releases are eight studio and one live album. He has also released one Extended Play, thirty singles and thirty-two music videos.
As a multi-award-winning recording artist, Jason Aldean has won many awards including eight Academy of Country Music ( ACM ), eleven Country Music Association ( CMA ) and four Billboard Music Awards. To date, he has been nominated for a Grammy four times.
