Ring Ring Album ABBA Pop Music


Ring Ring Album is by ABBA. The album was released on the 26th of March 1973 under the name Björn Benny & Agnetha Frida, a name they used before officially becoming ABBA.
Produced by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, it was released by record label Polar Music ( Universal Music Group ), a label started by Stig Anderson in 1963, who also managed the group.
The Album’s title track ” Ring Ring “, was released on the 14th of February 1973 with the original Swedish title of Bara Du Slog En Signal. The song was retitled to give it broader appeal.
Stig Anderson changed the lyrics and asked Neil Sedaka, the American songwriter, along with his songwriting partner Phil Cody, to re-write the lyrics for a version that would be accessible to an English audience.
The song reached Number One on the Belgium Singles Chart and number two on the Austrian and Norwegian Singles Charts.
The album, reached number two in both Sweden and Norway and topped the chart in Belgium. It was re-released in Australasia in 1975, but not until 1992 in the United Kingdom. In the United States, the album wasn’t released until 1995.

ABBA was a Swedish pop group. Formed in 1972 in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, the group consisted of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
ABBA is one of the best-selling music acts of all time. Estimates of total record sales vary wildly depending on where you read them. Reports of total sales range from between 140 to over 500 million units.

It became a massive success with the public and went on to be the highest-grossing film in the United Kingdom that year.
The group’s Album releases were eight studio, two live, seven compilations and three box sets. They also released four video Albums, seventy-three singles and produced thirty-three music videos.

    this is the first by the supergroup ABBA, my family love the ring ring album. Catchy songs, great singing, all round a perfect album to brighten any day
