The album, Back in Black by AC/DC is listed as one of the biggest-selling rock albums of all time. Released on the 25th of July 1980, it was produced by Robert John ” Mutt ” Lange. The album topped the charts in the UK and France; it peaked at number four in the US. Sales of Back in Black are estimated to be 50 million copies worldwide.
One of the biggest-selling rock singles is ” (Everything I Do) I Do It for You “, a soft rock track written in about 45 minutes by Bryan Adams and Robert John ” Mutt ” Lange.
In the United Kingdom, the single has the longest unbroken run at the top of the UK Singles Chart, sixteen consecutive weeks.
In the US, the single topped the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for seven weeks, and in Bryan Adams’ native Canada it stayed at the top of the chart for nine weeks.
” (Everything I Do) I Do It for You ” has been certified 3x Platinum in both the UK and US. Worldwide sales are in the region of 15 million.
